The day has come. Today marks the day that we sold the house we've lived in for many years. (Granted, we will stay here for another couple of days until our purchase is finalized, but those are minor details...)
It's a bittersweet moment, really. On the one hand, we couldn't wait to get out of where we are living. But on the other, there are so many memories here.
In this house we have had two babies, seen promotions, and countless holiday gatherings.
I painted a mural of the cow jumping over the moon in my daughter's room, and I painted our basement bathroom using shades of green and a new paint technique--my first painting experience.
This house was my husband's first "big boy" purchase.
And now it's almost time to say goodbye and move on to our new "family" purchase.
Our new house is one where our kids will start and attend school, learn to ride a bike, grow up and become young adults. This new house marks a dream and aspiration come true.
Now, just to finish packing and get in there.

That's the hard part that we tend to forget about...you are so ready to move, but then you remember the great times there...and you'll have so many memories to make in your new home!
Moving is really difficult emotionally and physically. But it's SO worth it in the long run.
Congratulations!
(...and thank you for letting me be a part of your journey!)
You're so right!
You're the best, Marney!!!
